1. General Information

  • ProHealth Family Medical Centre provides general medical services, telehealth consultations, and allied health services.
  • All information on this website is for general informational purposes only and should not be considered a substitute for professional medical advice.
  • We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
 

2. Appointments & Consultations

  • Appointments can be booked online, via phone, or in person.
  • Patients are required to arrive on time for their appointments. Late arrivals may result in rescheduling.
  • Telehealth consultationsare available, and applicable fees may apply as per our Fees & Charges Policy.
  • The centre reserves the right to refuse or reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances.
 

3. Billing & Payment

  • We bulk bill eligible patients with a valid Medicare Card.
  • Private patients and those without Medicaremust pay consultation fees as outlined in our Fees & Charges Policy.
  • Additional services, such as minor procedures, pre-employment medicals, and telehealth, may have out-of-pocket costs.
  • Payments for non-Medicare services must be made at the time of consultation.
  • Failure to pay outstanding fees may result in denial of future appointments.
 

4. Cancellation & Non-Attendance Policy

  • Patients must cancel or reschedule their GP appointments at least 4 hours in advanceto avoid a $30 cancellation fee.
  • Allied health & specialist appointments require 48 hours’ notice, or a $50 cancellation fee
  • This fee must be paid before any future appointment can be scheduled.
 

5. Telehealth Consultations

  • Patients booking telehealth consultationsmust have a stable internet connection and a quiet environment.
  • Fees apply for non-eligible bulk-billed patients.
  • Consultation outcomes, including prescriptions, referrals, and results, will be available via the MyPractice App.
 

6. Privacy & Confidentialitysd

  • We are committed to protecting patient privacyin accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
  • Personal and medical information is kept strictly confidential and only shared with relevant healthcare professionals for treatment purposes.
  • We do not sell, distribute, or disclose patient data without consent, except where legally required.

  • We strive to keep all information accurate and up to date but do not guarantee completeness or accuracy.

8. Emergency & After-Hours Care

  • ProHealth Family Medical Centre is NOT an emergency service. If you have a medical emergency, call 000 immediately.
  • For after-hours medical assistance, please contact the after-hours healthcare service.

9. Code of Conduct

  • We expect all patients and visitors to treat our staff and practitioners with respect and courtesy.
  • Any form of abuse, aggression, or inappropriate behavior may result in denial of services and removal from the premises.
